The history of Falmec is a fascinating and typical story of companies operating in the region of north-eastern Italy. The intuition of its founders – Danilo and Maurizio Poser – and the specific needs of the market enabled the transformation of a semi-artisanal business into a fully-fledged industrial production facility, whilst creating innovative products with exceptional design, in which technological solutions are combined with sophisticated style.
With over 130 employees working within the company’s structure and in the research and development office, search every day for new solutions and new market segments. Producing over 130,000 units a year, Falmec distributes its own products worldwide, with a balanced split of revenue between the domestic market and exports.
Falmec has been present in Poland for over 10 years. In line with its overall commercial strategy, which it has already successfully implemented in other European countries, as of 1 January 2011 it entrusted distribution on the Polish market to its subsidiary Falmec Polska Sp. z o.o.
Cooker hoods only
The value of Falmec cooker hoods and extraction systems stems from a clear commitment to specialisation. A commitment that, right from the company’s inception, has been reflected in the decision to manufacture only such products, so as to concentrate its technological know-how in a single area and thereby achieve excellent results. This is precisely why Falmec cooker hoods represent the absolute pinnacle of functionality, performance, durability, and guarantee clean air for the environment, always perfectly free of odours. What’s more, a sophisticated design that furnishes the kitchen in elegant harmony with contemporary style trends.
Only the finest steel
When manufacturing a ‘top-of-the-range’ cooker hood, the choice of materials is, of course, the most important factor. This is precisely why Falmec selects and uses AISI 304 stainless steel, with an alloy containing 18% chromium and 8% nickel. Hygienic, easy to clean, corrosion-resistant (as demonstrated by laboratory salt spray tests), AISI 304 stainless steel is undoubtedly the best material for use in the kitchen. Some models are made from mirror-polished AISI 304 stainless steel. This special finish makes the steel even more shiny and sophisticated. Other hoods use Fasteel, which, thanks to innovative “no finger-prints technology”, prevents the formation of any marks or smudges.
Patented Stratox® technology makes Falmec hoods one of a kind. This technology allows for the production of multi-layered panels. This invisible technical solution allows for the lines, shapes and aesthetic appearance to be emphasised in a way that is difficult to achieve with traditional production technologies. In the Stratox range, Fasteel steel is used.
All "Made in Italy"
Falmec cooker hoods are entirely designed and manufactured in Italy. All stages of of production are carried out in modern facilities in Vittorio Veneto (province of Treviso), where 130 employees across various departments contribute their extensive professional experience on a daily basis. The facilities are equipped with modern machinery and numerous automated production lines to ensure the highest quality standards, which are subject to rigorous compliance checks and pollution reduction measures. It is from this commitment and passion that products are created to meet the needs of the most demanding customers, without harming the environment.
