BUILDING INFORMATION MODELLING - BIM
Access to the Hilti BIM/CAD library
BIM (Building Information Modelling) – building information modelling – has revolutionised the way projects are created and managed.
It is not just spatial design software, but also a process that facilitates work within large design teams.
With BIM, you can create comprehensive solutions that streamline work organisation. These are suitable for use in construction projects utilising integrated BIM digital design tools and engineering services.
BIM – A BREAKTHROUGH IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY
By using BIM, you can:
- Reduce the number of errors and cut costs
Identify potential errors in 2D or 3D models, ensuring the accuracy of your project.
- Streamline collaboration by working ‘in the cloud’
With this solution, you increase teamwork efficiency and prevent . You save time by not having to attend meetings or manage email correspondence. You help to detect potential errors even before construction work begins.
- Become part of a wider project ecosystem
Copy objects from 3D models available in Hilti BIM/CAD libraries directly into your software – AutoCAD®, Revit® or Tekla Structures. Integrate your designs created using Hilti solutions into the overall construction project.
HILTI BIM/CAD LIBRARY
Integrated directly with AutoCAD®
Our BIM/CAD library allows you to use a wide range of Hilti products in the form of 2D and 3D BIM/CAD objects. These can be integrated directly into AutoCAD®.
Our solution is more than just a library – you can select the country in which your project will be carried out. This allows you to adapt it to the applicable international building standards.
Use the Hilti BIM/CAD library to:
- Search for an object by name or type – e.g. anchors, direct fixings, fire protection systems, modular suspension and fixing systems for service ducts.
- Select the object format (2D or 3D) – we provide detailed technical data for all projects, such as: dimensions, material types, our product numbers and other information that may prove useful during design.
- Copy objects directly into your project.
- Export and save product models.

SPECIFICATION SERVICES
We support you from selection right through to installation
Designing load-bearing structures for a building’s comprehensive technical systems can present real challenges that require time and the right resources.
What if you could entrust this time-consuming task to someone else? It’s possible thanks to the Hilti Specification Service. Our qualified engineers
This is possible thanks to the Hilti Specification Service. Our qualified engineers will offer you safe solutions, optimised for your needs – quickly and hassle-free via a user-friendly digital platform.
DESIGN SERVICES
When creating designs, every detail matters from the very beginning. Even minor calculation errors can have serious consequences later in the construction phase. Changes required during construction have a major impact on the project schedule and costs. Minimising the number of changes made at a later stage is therefore the key to greater productivity on site.
Our team of engineers is at your disposal at every stage of the project, from design through to on-site implementation. With our professional services and software solutions , we support you in increasing productivity and optimising processes, and thus also optimising costs during the implementation of your projects. WE HELP REDUCE THE RISK OF CORROSION IN BUILDINGS
Corrosion-resistant solutions for use in suspension and fixing systems for service ducts.
Corrosion is a serious problem that can pose a hazard and compromise structural stability. In some cases, this necessitates the replacement of individual components or even the entire installation. This, in turn, incurs significant costs and takes time. How can this be remedied?
CHOOSING THE RIGHT ANTI-CORROSION PROTECTION
We select the appropriate anti-corrosion protection taking into account the location of the construction site. Much depends on the environment and climate in which the work is carried out, as well as the substrate to which the installations are fixed.
Corrosion takes various forms depending on the environment. Therefore, to properly protect a building, one must take into account factors that may increase the risk of corrosion: humidity
- Humidity
Appropriate humidity is essential for any reaction occurring in the atmosphere.
- Temperature
The higher the temperature, the faster corrosion progresses.
- Salt
This can be either salt present in the air, particularly near the coast, or road salt.
- Industrial pollution
High concentrations of sulphur dioxide accelerate the reactions that cause corrosion.
- Contact corrosion
This occurs as a result of contact between two different materials.
Certain environments, such as indoor swimming pools, tunnels or chemical plants, require special technologies. Seek the assistance of our engineers, who will propose a suitable solution tailored to the conditions prevailing at a given location.

WHAT IS CORROSION PROTECTION?
Corrosion is the result of physicochemical reactions that occur between metal and the environment in which it is found.
Corrosion alters the properties of the metal, making it weaker. This can also cause damage to the installation, as well as to its metal components and their protective coatings. In such situations, there is a risk that it will no longer be safe and will need to be replaced.
There are two types of solutions that can help extend the service life of metal components used in buildings. These include active and passive protection of metals against corrosion.
Active protection directly influences the reaction causing corrosion through the use of corrosion-resistant materials, material separation or cathodic corrosion protection.
Passive protection stops or slows down corrosion by separating the metal from the corrosive agent. This can be achieved by applying layers of metal or other corrosion-resistant coatings.
HOW DO WE PREVENT CORROSION?
We offer a wide range of solutions providing corrosion protection. Our specialists will assess on-site which of these will prove best for a given structure.
