Company history
2012
The year 2012 will go down in the company’s history as a year of quality and marketing. We have implemented and are applying a quality management system compliant with the PN:EN ISO 9001:2009 standard. Furthermore, we have refreshed our logo, changed the design of our packaging, and created a new, functional website. We have also introduced new products to our range. Each of them is the result of many weeks of work, both on the design and on the functionality and quality of manufacture. This year heralds further positive changes within the company. We hope you will join us in these changes. By working together, we will achieve more.
2009
On 5 January 2009, Gama San S.A. changed its name to INVENA S.A. INVENA products were very well received by the Polish market and came to dominate Gama San’s range, leading to the decision to rename the entire company.
2006
Dynamic growth of the INVENA brand. The number of products under this brand on the Polish market rose to around 250 different items (ball valves and radiator valves, flexible hoses, connectors, air vents, radiators, taps, shower sets, sanitaryware and others). The range of bathroom products – taps and shower sets – developed particularly dynamically this year. By the end of the year, we had 15 different series of taps and 16 models of shower sets in our range.
2005
For the second time in the company’s history, we received the Golden Installer award. This award was granted to us for the creation and launch of the INVENA brand, which was recognised by the Competition Jury as one of the most interesting solutions in the organisation of wholesale and retail trade in our industry in 2004.
2004
We are launching a new brand of plumbing products, INVENA, on the Polish market. It was created in response to market demand. Products under this brand offer quality confirmed by certifications, whilst maintaining affordable prices. Gama San S.A. is the owner and exclusive distributor of the INVENA brand. The Gama San S.A. Distribution Centre was established in Łódź on Dąbrowskiego Street. A large warehouse area, a spacious manoeuvring yard and a location in central Poland are the strengths of our new Centre. The Centre’s signage and directional signs reflect the INVENA brand identity, as it forms a key part of our offering.
2003
Gama San’s quality management system was recertified for compliance with the ISO 9001:2000 standard. For the third time, Gama San was awarded the “Fair Play Company” certificate. Once again, our reliability in relations with customers, suppliers and company employees has been highly rated. As a three-time winner, we now hold the Gold Certificate of the “Fair Play Company” competition.
2002
In September, we launched production of a completely new product range: corrugated “peszel” conduit pipes. This type of pipe is used in both the heating and electrical installation sectors. Gama San’s peszel is manufactured using a modern, high-performance production line. For the second time in its history, Gama San received the European Medal, this time for the organisation of the distribution of heating and sanitary systems. We were once again recognised in the "Fair Play Enterprise" competition.
2001
Steady growth in sales necessitated the expansion of the Central Warehouse in Koszalin. We also increased the floor space of the Production Department. We launched the production of safety groups for central heating and domestic hot water systems. Our flexible hoses were fitted with a new type of clamp, providing better protection against potential leaks. The cross-clamp is protected by a patent held by Gama San. S.A. GAMA SAN S.A. was named a winner of the "Fair Play Enterprise 2001" competition. The Competition Committee assessed the integrity of our company’s conduct in its dealings with customers, suppliers, employees and the local community.
Year 2000
In June, Gama San S.A. received the ISO 9002 quality certificate. This is the first ISO certificate among Polish distributors in the installation industry. The certification body that awarded Gama San the quality certificate is Det Norske Veritas (DNV), a renowned Norwegian company accredited in 19 countries worldwide. It is worth noting that the quality management system was implemented by the company’s own staff, without the assistance of external consultants. The scope of the certificate covers both the organisation of the company’s commercial activities and its manufacturing operations. In October 2000, Gama San S.A. was one of the winners of the first edition of the European Medal, an initiative organised jointly by the Office of the Committee for European Integration and the Business Centre Club. The Medal is awarded to products and services whose standards approach European levels. Gama San’s metal-braided connection hoses were recognised as such a product.
1999
Since 1 January 1999, Gama San has operated as a public limited company. After seven years of operation, the company had grown to such a size that a change in its ownership structure became necessary for efficient management.
1998
In a ranking of Polish private companies compiled by Businessman Magazine, Gama San was placed in the top fifty. Our company is one of the few in the sanitary industry that develops solely on the basis of its own capital. This capital is 100% Polish, generated by a company that has never, in its history, had any links to state ownership.
1997
We purchased new machines for the production of flexible hoses with metal braiding. These enable us to increase the number of hoses produced and improve their quality. Thanks to the increased production capacity, we began braiding hoses on behalf of other companies. These can be hoses with various internal diameters (up to 1"), of any length, and fitted with any type of end fittings. An email system has been launched, connecting all the company’s branches and linking the company with the rest of the world via the Internet.
1996
We expanded our product range to include water filters designed for installation on flexible hoses and obtained certification from the National Institute of Hygiene for flexible hoses with metal braiding. Production of these hoses is growing rapidly, as evidenced by our 1st place in the national ranking of flexible hose manufacturers, published by the quarterly magazine "Rurociągi".
1995
This year, we launched our own production plant in Koszalin. Its main task is the production of metal-braided flexible hoses. These hoses are designed for connecting water and gas systems in the plumbing and heating sectors. In our very first year of production, we were awarded the Golden Installer Statuette. Production is based on our own, patent-protected technology and a modern machine park. The start of in-house production enabled Gama San to become fully independent of domestic and foreign suppliers.
1992
GAMA SAN began operations as a distribution company specialising in the wholesale trade of heating and sanitary fittings. Within the first year of operation, we had established a network of several dozen regular customers across the country.
