Sharp is one of the leading designers and manufacturers of LCD televisions, solar panels, optoelectronic components, infrared modules and flash memory chips.

Since the establishment of Sharp Electronics (Europe) GmbH (SEEG) in 1968, with its , 17 entities have been established, comprising one laboratory, four factories, eleven sales offices and one financial company. Currently, accounting for 29 per cent of Sharp’s total overseas turnover in 2008, Europe is one of the most important markets for our company.

Our product range includes consumer electronics (in particular LCD televisions and audio systems), household appliances (e.g. microwave ovens), digital computer systems (e.g. document management systems, multifunctional office devices and organisers) and mobile phones, as well as solar cells and modules. Furthermore, key areas of our business include the development of advanced technologies and components for electronic devices (e.g. optoelectronic components, infrared modules and flash memory chips).

Our aim is to further develop and strengthen Europe’s position within Sharp’s markets, primarily in the LCD TV, solar systems and document management systems segments.
