Armacell traces its origins to 1860, when the parent company Armstrong Cork, later Armstrong World Industries, was founded. In 2000, a buy-out of the insulation division of Armstrong World Industries resulted in the formation of Armacel. Today, the company specialises in the manufacture of insulation, offering the most complete and comprehensive range of flexible thermal, acoustic, anti-sheathing and protective insulation products for heating, cooling, air-conditioning, ventilation, sanitary and industrial installations, while becoming a world leader in this field. Armacell has proven solutions for efficiently reducing energy losses, protecting installations laid in buildings and improving acoustic comfort. The company's priority is the robustness, reliability and highest quality of its products, backed by almost 150 years of experience in the insulation market. Recently, the company has been strongly involved in supporting sustainable construction. To this end, Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) have been prepared to describe the sustainability of construction products. The use of products with environmental declarations makes it possible to obtain green certifications such as BREEAM and LEED, which are multi-criteria building evaluation and protection systems that promote sustainable construction and a healthy working environment and are now the standard in the real estate market.
