FAKRO is an international group operating in the construction industry, founded in 1991 in Nowy Sącz with entirely Polish capital. Today, it is the world’s second-largest manufacturer of roof windows, with a global market share of around 15 per cent. The Group comprises 12 production plants and 17 distribution companies. The company began its operations on the domestic market, before expanding into exports a few years later and successfully establishing itself on the international stage. Today, it supplies its products to 70 countries worldwide.
From the very beginning, the company has placed great emphasis on developing technology that improves the functionality of attics and the comfort of users. As a result, new solutions for roof windows have been developed to meet the changing needs of users. Over time, the product range has been expanded to include windows for flat roofs and accessories. A key milestone was the start of work on a new product category – loft ladders. Today, the company is one of the leading manufacturers of loft ladders.
In 2016, the portfolio was expanded to include the FAKRO INNOVIEW timber-aluminium vertical joinery range. Facade windows and patio doors with large glazed areas have opened up new possibilities for creating interiors that are open to the surrounding world. The range is complemented by garage doors and INNOVIEW Line awnings, all designed in a consistent style. The year 2022 marks the next step in the company’s development. A new generation of GREENVIEW roof windows was launched, designed with a focus on reducing heat loss, noise protection, safety of use and aesthetics.
