Collaboration with LUG
Years of experience working with architects and interior designers have resulted in a dedicated strategy and a support programme for lighting projects. The aim of the developed Architect Support Programme is to facilitate comprehensive collaboration between LUG consultants and architects and interior designers regarding all models architectural models, ready-made lighting solutions and consultancy in the field of lighting design. Support Programme for Architects and Lighting Designers
1. Architectural concept – Collaboration at the conceptual design stage (identifying the architect’s/designer’s requirements and translating them into available technologies) enabling the use of existing solutions or the development of new ones.
2. Working meetings – Detailed issues regarding lighting projects are discussed at individual meetings with architects and designers, during which the proposals presented are reviewed.
3. LUG Design Team – Photorealistic visualisations of architectural lighting, designs and simulations, optimisation, technical documentation prepared for BREEAM or LEED certification.
4. LUG Development Department – Customisation, i.e. tailoring luminaires to the needs of a specific project, enabling the realisation of the architect’s individual vision whilst maintaining the highest possible quality of the lighting fixtures offered.

History
LUG began its operations as a
partnership in
November 1989. From the outset, we have been a manufacturer of lighting fixtures, whilst also conducting
. The company expanded its business premises in October 1990. At that time, the name of the limited partnership was changed to Zakład Produkcyjno-Handlowo-Usługowy “LUG” Czesław i Ryszard Wtorkowscy.
In 1991, the company began operating at 5 Kręta Street in Zielona Góra and significantly expanded its scope of business to include the wholesale of lighting fixtures, materials and electrical fittings. LUG continued to develop its sales network through its own company-owned shops.
In April 2001, the partnership was converted into a limited liability company. The
The main focus of our business activities remained the production of lighting fixtures and the sale of electrical materials. We also operated in the field of carrying out projects involving the design and execution of electrical works.
Due to the growth in production and demand for the industrial lighting fixtures we manufacture, we decided to narrow the scope of the company’s business activities to the production of lighting fixtures.
On 3 September 2007, the limited liability company was converted into a public limited company, and on 20 November, LUG S.A. made its debut on the NewConnect stock market. The year 2008 saw the grand opening of LUG’s new headquarters. The new office building, warehouse and new production spaces created new opportunities for the company’s growth. In March 2013, LUG began developing a new plant, which became the site for a modern production line for LED components.

Today, LUG is a strong capital group comprising LUG S.A., LUG Light Factory Sp. z o.o., LUG GmbH, LUG Lighting UK Ltd., LUG do Brasil Artigos de Iluminação Ltda., LUG Argentina and sales offices in Paris and Dubai.
