Insulation of a double-skin external wall with render
Insulation of double-skin walls using ETICS systems (the lightweight wet method) is the most popular method of insulating walls from the outside. The use of FRONTROCK L wool insulation ensures excellent thermal performance of the insulated wall, whilst also contributing to improved fire safety in the building (the wool has the highest fire reaction class, A1 – non-combustible material). FRONTROCK L rock wool boards provide protection against the cold, fire, noise and other weather conditions.
"Corridors and stairwells are passageways that serve as escape routes. The use of FRONTROCK SUPER rock wool, which is a non-combustible material, as thermal insulation for these areas enhances safety beyond the minimum requirements set by the Building Regulations. Where any of the walls serves as a fire barrier, the use of a non-combustible material for this purpose is the only appropriate solution."
