Composite lighting columns with a section that is buried in the ground
Advantages of composite
The key advantages of composite materials include:
- · MANUFACTURING – LOW CO2 EMISSIONS
CO₂ impact during the production and operation of composite masts: The production of composite masts is environmentally friendly, as CO₂ emissions are very low and fibreglass masts are 100% recyclable. Composite is the most advantageous raw material due to its parameters, properties, recyclability and CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. Composites are more environmentally friendly than other materials throughout their ‘lifecycle’ due to their long service life, no need for maintenance during use, lower energy consumption during processing, and an easy, low-energy recycling process. The production
and manufacture of composites often consume less energy than the production of metals; because composites weigh less, the amount of energy consumed during transport is also lower. The energy required to produce a composite mast is approximately 1/200th of the energy used to produce an aluminium mast. At the end of its service life, the material is 100% recycled by our company
and used in other products.
- COLOUR SCHEME:
The mast is normally supplied in white (at no extra cost), but it can be painted in any colour from the RAL colour palette. We can also produce multi-coloured masts.
- AESTHETICS:
The use of top-quality materials makes the pole UV-resistant. Its smooth surface makes it easy to remove dirt, stickers, adhesive residue and chewing gum.
- SHELF LIFE:
The polyester-glass composite is corrosion-resistant. Its high vibration damping properties and flexibility allow the mast to be used in extreme wind conditions.
The mast is resistant to:
- road salt and other substances used for snow clearance and street cleaning,
- pollution caused by road traffic,
- pollution caused by animals
- mechanical damage
- UV rays
The material has no scrap value. This largely eliminates the risk of theft and significantly reduces the incidence of vandalism, damage and the associated repairs.
- SAFETY:
Fibreglass-reinforced polyester composite is an insulating material and does not require earthing. The mast has low impact energy absorption in the event of a collision, for example with a person or a vehicle, which means minimal damage to the vehicle and a reduced risk of personal injury.

Conical composite lighting columns with a section that is buried in the ground.
Why choose a composite column? There are many reasons; here are just a few:
- high passive safety; low energy absorption; see tests >>,
- low weight of the composite post,
- no electrical conductivity – complete insulation,
- very good resistance to mechanical damage; see tests >>,
- very high resistance to salts,
- UV resistance,
- smooth surface, preventing dirt build-up and ensuring an aesthetic appearance,
- easy removal of residue from stickers, adhesive tape and advertising posters,
- high vibration damping, which helps extend the service life of light sources,
- option to select colours from the RAL colour chart,
Because it is made of composite materials, the pole has no scrap value!
Advantages of a post driven into the ground:
- lower installation costs – no heavy foundations required;
- faster installation – a 6m post weighs just 26 kg;
- lower transport costs – the pole requires no foundation;
- easier reinstallation of the lighting pole – should it need replacing, e.g. if the pole is damaged in a road collision or during the modernisation of the entire street lighting system.
