Adjustable supports for raising and levelling decking and joist-laid floors.
Adjustable supports for supporting and levelling decking and floors laid on joists.
We are pleased to present Harpun’s new system for raising and levelling wooden decking and floors on joists, which is new to the Polish market. The system was developed in Denmark and has been used there with great success for 20 years. Fitberg is the distributor of the system, as well as other Harpun construction accessories, in Poland and Eastern Europe.
The system stands out for:
- high-quality materials,
- precision of workmanship,
- high load-bearing capacity,
- weather resistance,
- ease and speed of installation,
- a wide range of applications, both indoors and outdoors.
- an attractive price (estimated costs summarised below).

Key components of the system:
footers,
wedges,
coasters and a protective mat.
The protective sheet allows the system to be installed on substrates prone to damage, such as roofing felt, plastic sheeting and geotextile, as well as on substrates requiring weight distribution, such as XPS boards (Styrodur).
All components are designed to fit together and form modules that can be assembled into a wide range of adjustable brackets.
The range of possible joist lifting heights is between 30 mm and 290 mm, and the maximum load capacity of a single bracket is 400 kg.
The table above shows examples of how Harpun levelling feet and wedges can be combined to create adjustable supports of specific heights. All combinations in the first row can also be used in conjunction with 19 mm and 38 mm bases.
To install the brackets, simply secure the joist to the wedge and the foot with a screw to ensure it is positioned at the correct height.
The system can be used with joists made of wood, composite materials or other materials.
Supplementary elements.
The following supplementary components are available as part of the system:
A rubber pad reinforced with a protective plate. Adding this component to the support dampens vibrations and significantly improves the acoustic properties of the floor or terrace.
Sound-dampening pad, a component also designed to dampen vibrations and improve the acoustic properties of a floor or terrace.
A sports underlay that absorbs impact energy, vibrations and shock waves. Designed specifically for use in the installation of sports hall flooring.
Acoustic underlay for use with joists alone or where only a small amount of levelling is required, from 1 to 30 mm. For levelling, you can use installation wedges, roof wedges or high-strength spacers.
Installation using the Harpun system for raising and levelling terraces and floors on joists:
The system was used to construct terraces on the balconies of the Nowe Orłowo housing estate in Gdynia.
Summary:
Applications: raising floors and floor joists on joists, both indoors and outdoors.
Height range: from 30 mm to 290 mm.
Maximum load per bracket: up to 400 kg
Height adjustment precision: each wedge adjustment is approximately 1 mm.
Recommended spacing between brackets: every 45 cm; when planning the spacing between brackets, the flooring manufacturer’s recommendations must be taken into account.
Number of brackets per square metre: 5 to 6, spaced 45 cm apart. This figure depends on the shape of the surface and the number of additional joists used to join the boards.
Approximate costs: 1 height-adjustment kit (30–60 mm range), net price – PLN 3.30 (PLN 16.50–19.80 per m²),
for sizes between 50 and 85 mm, net price - PLN 3.60 (PLN 18.00 to PLN 21.60 per m²),
within the range of 50–100 mm, net price - PLN 4.20 (PLN 21.00 to 25.20 per m²)
within the range of 90–140 mm, net price - PLN 6.20 (PLN 31.00 to 37.20 per m²)
within the range of 130–180 mm, net price - PLN 8.50 (PLN 42.50 to 51.00 per m²)
For substrates requiring protection against damage – such as roofing felt, plastic sheeting and similar materials – and when using brackets on XPS (Styrodur) panels, a protective plate must be used; price per unit: PLN 3.10
