Heat pumps
Heat pumps.
Eco-friendly heating – our heat pumps use air to operate, meaning they do not produce any harmful emissions.
What do a heat pump and a fridge have in common?
You might think that the technology used in heat pumps is innovative. Nothing could be further from the truth. This technology has been known and used for years, for example in fridges. Yes, the principle behind a heat pump can be compared to that of a fridge. They work in the same way, except that the heat transfer processes occur in reverse. A fridge extracts heat from the inside and transfers it to the outside, whilst a heat pump draws heat from the outside and transfers it to the inside.
Heat pumps – how they work
A heat pump extracts heat from the air and, using technology comprising a compressor, condenser and evaporator, heats the water in the system, thereby providing heating for the home and hot water for the residents’ use.
Heating with renewable energy sources helps protect the environment and reduce air pollution. But above all, it saves money. Immergas heat pumps are energy-efficient appliances with the highest energy efficiency ratings.
