S-16B roof skylights

Arched roof skylights are designed to provide natural light for production and commercial halls, warehouses, sports halls, workshops and other premises. The light strips are constructed using aluminium system profiles fitted with EPDM seals and multi-wall polycarbonate sheets. The colour and thickness of the polycarbonate sheets are tailored to the customer’s requirements.

The aluminium alloy used to manufacture the profiles ensures that the rooflights will last for many years, even if they are not painted or anodised. At the customer’s request, we can apply additional protection to the products in the form of a powder-coated finish. This not only enhances the products’ resistance to external factors but also improves their appearance. Roof skylights can be finished in any colour from the RAL colour chart.

The light strips are mounted on bases raised at least 15 cm above the roof surface. Where smoke vents are installed, the bases should be raised 30 cm above the roof surface. The bases are usually made of raw galvanised steel sheet, coated sheet metal or powder-coated sheet metal in accordance with the RAL colour chart. The thickness of this material depends on the strength parameters specified in the design.

MATBUD S light bands are approved for use in construction on the basis of a structural design prepared by a qualified structural engineer in accordance with the applicable standards. The design takes into account wind and snow load requirements for all load zones in accordance with standards PN-77/B-02011 and PN-80/B-02010/Az1:2006.

The company manufactures light strips in several standard versions with different technical specifications. This allows the appropriate product to be selected for a specific application. We also manufacture products with non-standard specifications at the customer’s request. Such orders are fulfilled on the basis of individual design projects created for specific light strips and their bases.
