Wooden flooring – Light-coloured flooring collection: Northern Lights

Product descriptionTechnical dataDocumentation

Inspired by the bright Northern Lights, we invite you to discover a natural world of authentic beauty right on your doorstep.

The Northern Lights

is a collection of light-coloured wooden floors that reflects the distinctive character and heritage of Scandinavian design. This collection is the perfect choice for creating a clean, relaxed atmosphere and a comfortable lifestyle.

Interior design

Light-coloured floors complement bold, vibrant colours as well as light shades of blue and white. When combined with cotton, stone or glass, these floors create a modern and elegant style.

Boen is one of the world’s leading flooring manufacturers, hailing from Scandinavia. It offers a wide range of beautiful Scandinavian-style wooden floors, including designs rarely found among other manufacturers. To make it easier for customers to choose, the vast majority of these are featured in a collection called Zorza Polarna.

This range of flooring includes light-coloured planks of oak, ash, beech and maple, which have been bleached and are therefore significantly lighter in colour. Alongside these are naturally light-coloured planks, such as Canadian maple, birch and hickory – an American white walnut that is rarely found among other manufacturers. This species is very often chosen for flooring in North America and Scandinavia.

Hickory has good strength properties and a particularly interesting colour scheme: it is a light-coloured wood that nevertheless has a warm appearance. This species features significant colour variations between the sapwood and the brownish heartwood, which create a unique, contrasting visual effect on the floor.

Polar ash flooring is hugely popular in Scandinavia, as it is perfectly suited to Scandinavian-style interiors. The ash wood is first coated with white stain and then varnished. Thanks to this finish, the floor is almost white, and the grain is almost completely invisible. It is worth noting that this flooring is not recommended for high-traffic areas.
