Cementex board is a general-purpose cement board available in five different thicknesses – 3.5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm. The board width is the same as that of plasterboard and is 1200 mm. A specially formulated composition ensures a high fire rating of A1 (A2 for the 3.5 mm thick board), s1-d0.
Cementex boards offer very high mechanical performance. The board’s rigidity and high hardness ensure high strength as well as resistance to mechanical impact. Various thicknesses allow the board type to be tailored to the application. In particular, the 3.5 mm thick board – a first of its kind – enables the use of a hard and durable substrate, e.g. for ceramic tiles. Thanks to all these properties, the board is highly versatile and can be used on ceilings, walls and cladding, both in damp rooms and for external applications.
