Z-WAVE

FAKRO smartHome operates on the basis of the Z-Wave communication protocol, which is a complete, wireless radio system. Z-Wave is a communication technology specially designed for the control and monitoring residential and commercial buildings. Z-Wave technology offers the highest quality and security in the field of wireless control. The Z-Wave system is simple to install, easy to expand and manage at every stage of the building’s operation. Installation of the system does not require a distribution board or communication cables between electrical products, which significantly reduces installation costs and time whilst ensuring maximum comfort of use.

WIRELESS WiFi DATA TRANSMISSION PROTOCOL

FAKRO’s range includes technologically advanced products that form an important part of a smart home within a wireless WiFi system. The FTP-V WiFi roof window provides plenty of natural light and fresh air in the loft. It also allows for temperature control in rooms under a pitched roof thanks to the AMZ WiFi awning or ARZ WiFi external roller blind, as well as light control using the ARF WiFi internal roller blind.

μWiFi technology is based on wireless radio communication. It is characterised by high bandwidth, resistance to interference and the ability to connect additional WiFi-enabled devices. The system works by sending a signal from a control device, such as a smartphone, to a router, which then distributes signals to individual devices. A failure in one device does not affect the operation of other devices, and all functioning devices will remain available.

The WiFi system is simple to install, easy to expand and manage. It can be used at any stage of a building’s life cycle. An additional benefit is the ability to access devices remotely via the router. Installation of the system does not require any control units or connecting cables between electrical devices, which significantly reduces installation costs and time and ensures maximum user comfort.

All devices in the WiFi system are controlled via a smartphone using the wBox app, and are compatible with Google Assistant, enabling the creation of a Google Home virtual home and the management of FAKRO products by voice.

SEALING FLANGES

Sealing flanges are essential components for the correct installation of a roof window in the roof deck. They ensure a durable and watertight connection between the window and the roof covering. As standard, , the flashings are made of aluminium sheet, permanently protected with a polyester coating in RAL 7022. Flashings are also available in titanium-zinc or copper sheet versions.

Standard flashings:

ES for flat roofing with a thickness of up to 10 mm
EZ for profiled roofing with a profile height of up to 45 mm
EH for profiled roofing with a profile height of up to 90 mm

Additional flashings:

EL for flat shingle roofing with a thickness of up to 10 mm
EG for flat scale-type roofing with a thickness of 24–36 mm
EE for roofs covered with flat sheet metal. Made of copper or titanium-zinc sheet

Flashes for special applications:

EHT for profiled roofing with a profile height of up to 90 mm, fitted with additional insulation
E_A for all types of roofing. Changes the window installation angle by 10° and enables the installation of roof windows in roofs with a pitch of 10° or more.
EFW system for flat roofs, allows windows to be installed in flat roofs with a slope of 0°–15°
EU_ flashing for elbow joints in all types of . It consists of a sealing flashing for the roof window, components connecting the roof windows to the elbow joint, and flashing to protect exposed parts of the eaves
ER_ flashing enabling the connection of windows on opposite sides of the ridge.
KMV for joining windows in mansard roofs.

Flange connections:

The range includes ready-made flashing solutions for joining windows into groups: vertical, horizontal and block. The joining system allows windows of different types to be joined. In ready-made joining systems, the distance between the joined windows, both vertically and horizontally, is 10 cm as standard.

External accessories:

Awnings and external roller blinds installed on the outside allow for effective reduction of solar heat, protecting the room from excessive and oppressive heat. The use of does not restrict the glazing area of the window. External roller blinds are also available in a version with electric control.

Window operating accessories:

Various types of rods are available for operating windows installed out of the user’s reach. Accidental opening of the window is prevented by an attractive window lock, which can be used on all types of windows, both wooden and PVC-framed.

CUSTOM SOLUTIONS

Cradle window:

This is a special window design featuring an arched frame, sash and glass unit. The window cladding is also specially tailored to the shape of the window. The arched window is a , with a handle fitted at the bottom of the sash. The cradle window is a bespoke product, designed and manufactured to the customer’s individual order.

Window with a muntin:

A window fitted with a vertical glazing bar in the centre of the pane. The window cladding and flashing are in a black colour, similar to RAL 9005. The window is available in all standard sizes, in the following versions: pivot, tilt-and-turn, and thermal-insulated top-hung. The window is designed for old, historic buildings or buildings styled to resemble them. Various window shapes:

FAKRO roof windows can be made in any shape to suit the customer’s requirements. The glazing unit consists of an outer toughened pane and an inner toughened pane with a low-emissivity coating (4H-16-4HT). Windows with non-standard shapes are available only in a non-opening version.

Various window colours:

The wooden components of the window can be painted with opaque varnish in any colour from the RAL palette, or with a wood stain in one of five colours.

external cladding and sealing flanges can be made not only from aluminium sheet, but also, at the customer’s request, from copper (Cu) or titanium-zinc (TC) sheet.

Glazing:

energy-saving glazing – a double-chamber glazing unit consisting of three 4 mm thick toughened panes. The outer panes are made of low-emissivity glass. The 2 x 10 mm air gaps are filled with the noble gas krypton.
Laminated glazing – a single-chamber glazing unit comprising 2 panes. The inner pane consists of two layers of glass, each 3 mm thick, with a 0.38 mm thick PVB film sandwiched between them. The outer pane is of toughened glass. Laminated glass also reduces UV transmission by up to 95%.
Acoustic glazing – a single-chamber glazing unit consisting of two panes. The outer pane is toughened glass and a specially laminated P1A-class inner pane. The inner pane has two layers of sound-insulating film. The pane’s Rw value = 38dB. Additionally, the acoustic pane reduces UV radiation transmission by 98%.
P4A-class burglar-resistant glazing – a single-chamber glazing unit consisting of 2 panes. The inner pane consists of two 4 mm thick layers of glass, separated by a 1.52 mm thick PVB film. The outer pane is made of toughened glass. The burglar-resistant glass also reduces UV radiation penetration by up to 99%.
Absorptive glazing – a single-chamber glazing unit consisting of 2 panes. The outer pane is made of tempered glass, available in blue, brown, graphite and green. The inner pane is made of low-emissivity coated glass.
Ornamental pane – a single-chamber glazing unit consisting of 2 panes. The outer pane is made of tempered glass with an ornate finish. The inner pane has a low-emissivity coating.
Reflective glazing – a single-chamber glazing unit consisting of 2 panes.

ATTIC STAIRS

Folding loft ladders provide easy and safe access to the loft area of the building. When folded, the ladder hatch is flush with the ceiling, helping to save space in the room.

LWS Smart – 3- or 4-section stairs made of pine wood, fitted with a thermal insulation hatch in beige.
LWK Komfort – 3- or 4-section stairs made of pine wood, fitted with a thermally insulated hatch in white.
LTK Termo – 3-section stairs made of pine wood, fitted with a super-insulated hatch in a white finish.
LDK – 2-section, sliding stairs made of pine wood, fitted with a thermally insulated hatch in a white finish.
LWF – 3-section stairs made of pine wood, fitted with a thermally insulated hatch in white, fire-resistant.
LWM – 3-section stairs with a metal ladder, fitted with a thermal insulation hatch in beige.

ROOFING MEMBRANES

Low-vapour-permeability membranes for creating a vapour-permeable layer on pitched roofs beneath roofing materials such as profiled sheet metal, roof tiles or corrugated sheets. It is recommended to provide ventilation gaps on both sides of the membrane.
