Space is usually very limited, particularly in the area of penetrations and shaft installations. Pipes of various diameters and made from different materials are laid close together there. COMBINED PASSAGE FOR PIPE AND CABLE PENETRATIONS

By using just one fire-resistant combination seal, you can seal pipes and cables in heating or electrical systems. This means you don’t have to open up walls or ceilings multiple times to install the seal – which in turn reduces the risk of errors.

With our combined solutions, you can seal cable penetrations in various configurations to provide fire and smoke protection:

Fire-resistant blocks

With our CFS-BL fire protection blocks, for example, you can quickly and reliably seal even large openings. You can cut them to size with a knife or a hand saw – without the need for special tools – and install them yourself, without needing to involve anyone else. The permanently flexible, non-hardening material has been specially developed so that the fire protection blocks can be reused. To expand the cable duct, you can easily remove the blocks and reinstall them after adding new cables.

What’s more, by using our fire-retardant blocks, you minimise the generation of dust and fibres. Unlike traditional fire-retardant products, such as coated boards or special mortars, you avoid creating a dusty working environment.

Mineral wool and board duct

Our CP 673 fire protection boards and coatings offer a wide range of installation options for combination penetrations. Among other things, they are approved for cables and cable bundles, cable trays, combustible and non-combustible pipes, as well as for multiple and mixed applications. We recommend the use of fire protection coated boards, particularly for penetrations where cables and pipes do not need to be added or are added only rarely.

Fire-retardant mortar

Fire-resistant mortars are a tried-and-tested solution for the permanent sealing of large openings. Use our CFS-M RG fire-resistant mortar for smoke-tight and fire-resistant installation of cables, cable bundles and cable trays, as well as plastic and metal pipes.

Fire-retardant cushion

It is often the case that cable penetrations need to be properly sealed, even though future expansion is planned. For such temporary fire seals, we recommend a simple, reusable solution: our CFSA-CU fire protection cushions. With these, you can quickly and safely seal openings measuring up to 1200 x 1500 mm. And if you need to install more cables, cable trays, ducts or pipes in the penetrations, the cushions can be easily removed.
