GRP composite mesh – manufactured by Trokotex

TROKOTEX IS THE ONLY CERTIFIED COMPANY IN POLAND WITH A FULLY DOCUMENTED COMPOSITE REINFORCEMENT PRODUCTION FACILITY.

GRP composite mesh – CE marking, National Technical Assessment

Nowadays, reinforced concrete technology forms the basis of infrastructure construction. Reinforcing steel is traditionally used, but its susceptibility to corrosion significantly limits the durability of structures. An alternative is GRP composite mesh – lightweight, strong and resistant to environmental conditions.

The formation of corrosion spots in steel reinforcement leads to cracking and spalling of the concrete cover, as well as to the weakening of the entire structure. Composite reinforcement eliminates this problem, ensuring longevity and reliability.

The best way to extend the service life of concrete structures.

GRP composite mesh is used to reinforce screeds, floors, walls and other surfaces, as well as elements such as roads, bridges and precast concrete components. They also protect underfloor heating systems and minimise concrete shrinkage.

Trokotex meshes are manufactured using the pultrusion process, creating a composite consisting of a large quantity of glass fibres embedded in an epoxy matrix. This combination ensures high durability and excellent adhesion to concrete.

Advantages and benefits

Thanks to fully automated production, GRP mesh is more cost-effective than steel mesh, whilst offering superior performance characteristics. It is supplied in rolls and sheets, which significantly reduces transport costs and makes installation easier.

  • 100% corrosion resistance
  • Up to 9 times lighter than steel
  • 30% cheaper to buy than traditional steel mesh
  • High adhesion to concrete
