GRP composite meshes – manufacturer Trokotex
TROKOTEX IS THE ONLY CERTIFIED COMPANY IN POLAND WITH FULLY DOCUMENTED COMPOSITE REINFORCEMENT PRODUCTION.
GRP composite meshes – CE mark, National Technical Assessment
Nowadays, reinforced concrete technology is the basis of infrastructure construction. Traditionally, reinforcing steel is used, but its susceptibility to corrosion is a serious limitation to the durability of structures. An alternative is GRP composite meshes – lightweight, durable and resistant to environmental conditions.
The formation of corrosion spots in steel reinforcement leads to cracks and spalling of the concrete cover and weakens the entire structure. Composite reinforcement eliminates this problem, guaranteeing longevity and reliability.
The best way to extend the service life of concrete structures.
GRP composite meshes made of plastic are used to reinforce screeds, floors, walls, as well as elements such as roads, bridges and precast concrete elements. Additionally, they protect underfloor heating systems and minimise concrete shrinkage.
Trokotex meshes are manufactured using the pultrusion method, creating a composite of a large number of glass fibres embedded in an epoxy matrix. This combination guarantees high durability and excellent adhesion to concrete.
Advantages and benefits
Thanks to fully automated production, GRP meshes are more economical than steel ones, while exceeding them in terms of performance parameters. They are distributed in rolls and sheets, which significantly reduces transport costs and facilitates installation.
- 100% corrosion resistance
- Up to 9 times lighter than steel
- 30% cheaper to purchase than traditional steel mesh
- High adhesion to concrete
