Air handling units with heat pump module

Product descriptionTechnical dataDocumentation

Application

The MISTRAL HOME PC air handling unit is a complete, integrated device designed for residential buildings (up to approx. 200 m² of ventilated space), which performs the key functions of supply and exhaust ventilation, effective heating and cooling by blowing in fresh air.

Characteristics

MISTRAL HOME PC is a compact system combining a recuperator module with an enthalpy heat exchanger and an air-to-air heat pump compressor module. The device provides two-stage heat and cold recovery, achieving a high energy class A and covering up to approx. 50% to even 80% of a building's heat demand. However, it should be noted that it acts as a supplementary heating source, not the only one in the building. The enthalpy exchanger also effectively recovers moisture from the removed air, ensuring an optimal microclimate. The heat pump operates on the basis of a natural refrigerant – propane (R290). This is important due to its low GWP (Global Warming Potential), which makes the system a highly environmentally friendly solution. The highest heating and cooling efficiency is achieved in combination with a ground plate heat exchanger (GWC).

Equipment

  • Air-to-air compressor heat pump module, integrated into a single housing (no external unit).
  • High-efficiency enthalpy heat exchanger for heat and moisture recovery.
  • Energy-efficient, high-efficiency EC fans.
  • LongLIFE air filters, which means they need to be replaced up to four times less often.
  • Automatic, modulated bypass with actuator for smooth heat recovery control.
  • Casing made of PVC panels, insulated and soundproofed.
  • Processor-based anti-freeze system (optional).

Automation and control

The control unit has factory-installed, fully wired automation. It provides fully automatic control of the two-stage heat recovery and air treatment process.

Controller with weekly programme and wall-mounted touchscreen, remote control via MODBUS protocol or dedicated WebManipulator. Extensive control options tailored to your needs (e.g. support for CO2 and humidity sensors, control of zone dampers, zone heaters/coolers, control of an electro-ionisation filter from a common manipulator).
