Water-permeable concrete - Hydromedia™
Hydromedia is a water-permeable, all-purpose pavement that allows rainwater to drain very quickly into the ground or into sewer systems. It also prevents the effect of localised flooding, as it is an excellent water reservoir in the event of sudden and heavy rainfall. It is a pro-ecological solution for draining rainwater into the ground, favouring the natural circulation of water in nature.
Hydromedia is an aggregate concrete in which the aggregate grains are surrounded by a dense paste that binds them together while forming a system of interconnected voids with high permeability. The voids in the substructure allow water to flow freely through the concrete layer. Thanks to this structure, Hydromedia ensures water permeability of at least 10 mm/s - depending on the choice of aggregate.
Features of Hydromedia water-permeable concrete
Application
- water-permeable, universal;
- allows very rapid drainage of rainwater into the ground or into sewerage systems;
- permeability of the concrete regulated by the choice of aggregate (minimum is 10 mm/s);
- stable substructure over time with slight deviations from the horizontal;
- good adhesion of surface layers;
- reduced use of bonding materials;
- Frost resistance of class F50.
- roads for pedestrian and light traffic;
- in the water-permeable layer on flat roofs;
- substructure of external permeable layers for sports surfaces;
- substructure of surface layers for playgrounds;
- substructure of surface layers of green areas located both on the ground and on the roofs of buildings;
- substructure of road surface layers.
