DW-ALBI Chimney System
The DW-ALBI system – a double-walled flue gas exhaust system – consists of smooth-walled pipes and fittings made of stainless steel, with a minimum wall thickness of 0.6 mm for the flue pipe and 0.5 mm for the outer jacket. The system components are thermally insulated with 32 mm thick mineral wool, tightly fitted to the flue core and outer jacket. This technical solution prevents the formation of harmful thermal bridges that conduct heat from the flue core to the outer jacket. The DW-ALBI system is available in diameters ranging from 80 to 600 mm (optionally up to 1000 mm). All longitudinal welds are performed using plasma cutting in a shielding gas atmosphere or by laser. Individual components are joined by a socket connection, into which a gasket must be inserted to ensure tightness up to an overpressure of 200 Pa, with a maximum flue gas temperature not exceeding 200°C. Additionally, they are fitted as standard with a clamping band mounted on the outer jacket. The system is designed for use with heating appliances featuring a sealed combustion chamber, operating under negative pressure in wet mode, and fuelled by gas or fuel oil. It is also suitable for use as a ventilation system. It can be installed both inside and outside the building, and a wide selection of chimney fittings, ceiling brackets, wall brackets and wall consoles ensures easy and stable installation of the chimney to the building wall or supporting structure.
Scope of application – as a double-walled flue gas exhaust system designed for combustion chambers operating at a positive pressure of up to 200 Pa, where the flue gas temperature does not exceed 200°C, fuelled by gas, fuel oil, e.g. boilers with a closed combustion chamber, turbo, condensing boilers, gas or oil heaters
