Fibreglass tanks – Trokotex
We manufacture composite tanks from polyester-glass laminate, also known as GRP (Glass-Reinforced Plastic). GRP is a composite consisting of chemical-resistant synthetic resins, reinforced with carefully selected glass fibres. Other common names for this material include GFK (from the German – Glasfaserverstärkter Kunststoff), GRP or FRP (from the English – Glass Reinforced Plastic, Fibre Reinforced Plastic).
GRP tanks are increasingly replacing stainless steel, acid-resistant steel and steel coated with anti-corrosion coatings. In environments where severe corrosion occurs and there is exposure to harsh chemicals, no form of steel is up to the task. For years, GRP/TWS products reinforced with glass fibre have been manufactured and used worldwide.

The wide range of resins and their properties allows us to select the right raw materials accurately and precisely to meet each customer’s specific requirements. The laminate’s chemical resistance to a range of reagents is a key advantage of plastic tanks.
Fibreglass tanks are recommended due to their high mechanical strength, low weight, resistance to corrosion and temperature, insulating properties, smooth internal surface, ease of shaping, ease of repair and cost-effectiveness in operation.
Advantages and benefits of fibreglass tanks
TWS storage tanks are a flagship product in our company’s range. The tanks are designed for the storage of a wide variety of substances (water, acids, alkalis). Tanks made of plastic are also ideal for storing drinking water, rainwater or process water.
TROKOTEX tanks are widely used in both the private and public sectors. They are valued by designers of sewage treatment plants and water treatment plants, as well as by main contractors for industrial projects, power stations and environmental protection projects.
The production process utilises top-quality resins and fibreglass, which offers a number of advantages:
No contact with the medium
The resin does not come into contact with the medium, which is water (the water is not contaminated).
Corrosion
resistance The tanks offer excellent corrosion resistance.
Small and large-scale
products We can manufacture large-scale products with unusual shapes.
High strength
The tanks are lightweight, highly durable and resistant to UV radiation.
