Kitchen worktops
Kitchen worktops are made from chipboard. Modern postforming technology is used in their production. Thanks to this, the resulting product combines rich design, aesthetics, ease of installation and maintenance with durability and resistance to various external factors.
The benefits of Swiss Krono kitchen worktops
- heat resistance – allows you to place pots containing boiling water directly on the worktop, with the exception of kettles, metal pots and pans, and single- or multi-layered frying pans, for which heat-resistant mats should be used,
- UV resistance – the worktops do not discolour when exposed to daylight,
- resistance to steam – steam does not penetrate the worktop and does not cause delamination of the panel – applies to the work surface of the worktop; in the case of built-in appliances under the worktop, its underside must be additionally and effectively protected against water vapour,
- resistance to detergents – household, mild cleaning products (e.g. washing-up liquid) do not wear away or damage the laminate,
- resistance to milk, tea, coffee, juices, red wine, vinegar and ink – these liquids do not soak into the laminate surface and do not leave permanent stains,
- resistance to scratches, dents and abrasion – the laminates (CPL and HPL) used in the production of worktops are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the PN-EN 438 standard – they are suitable for domestic use, but must not be subjected to cutting, sanding or impact from either blunt or sharp tools.
All the above-mentioned features apply to the worktop surface.
The antibacterial properties of kitchen worktops
All SWISS KRONO worktops have antibacterial properties. The ANTIBACTERIAL PROPERTIES of the worktops mean that bacteria do not multiply on their surface. Tests, in accordance with ISO 22196:2011, are carried out on two bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli), and the results confirm that the surface of the worktops has the ability to inhibit the growth of microorganisms.
