ENERGETO

Energy-efficient windows

energeto® systems are an example of how a single technology can incorporate and combine all the factors necessary to optimise PVC windows for heat loss reduction. These systems are recommended for modern energy-efficient and passive buildings. Intelligent system solutions are becoming a reality. Lightweight structural components, free from internal steel reinforcements within the profiles, which significantly reduce energy loss in buildings, are the new advantages and benefits that aluplast offers to window manufacturers.
The aluplast energeto® concept represents a new approach to energy efficiency, as it involves the elimination of the steel reinforcements previously used in profiles, which had a negative impact on their thermal performance. Furthermore, by implementing this technology, aluplast meets manufacturers’ expectations regarding the optimisation of window production processes.

The implementation of energeto ® is made possible by a combination of two innovative technologies from aluplast:

  • “bonding inside” – a special sash incorporating glass bonding technology, and
  • “powerdur inside” – a new type of frame, developed in collaboration with BASF using Ultradur® High Speed plastic, which replaces the steel reinforcements used in conventional frames.

The enhanced functionality
of energeto® encompasses a full range of system solutions, including both systems with external and centre seals with an installation depth of 70 mm, as well as a system with a centre seal and an installation depth of 85 mm. It thus provides a comprehensive response to market demand for windows with the best thermal insulation in the new-build and renovation sectors. Another major advantage is the ability to streamline production processes by:
Eliminating certain operations in the window manufacturing process: ordering, storage, steel cutting (significant cost and time savings)
Reduced machine
wear More efficient use of storage space (production space previously occupied by machines for cutting steel reinforcements and areas designated for steel storage are freed up)

energeto® windows offer enhanced stability and security thanks to "bonding inside"
technology. This solution from aluplast allows the glass pane to be bonded directly into the sash without the need for the steel reinforcements traditionally used. The glazing unit takes on the load-bearing function. By bonding the glass to the profile, a significant proportion of the static loads is transferred through the glass, which is more resistant to bending than the sash profile, thereby stabilising the window. Thanks to the permanent bond between the glass and the sash, the risk of warping, bending and sash settlement is reduced. This method minimises the risk of glass breakage due to point loads and extends the service life of the sashes without the need for adjustment. Bonding the glass to the profile also provides better protection against break-ins, as the glass cannot be pushed out.
Thanks to changes in glazing technology, it is possible to utilise the full depth of the glazing rebate. Deeper glazing in the rebate reduces the linear thermal transmittance coefficient of the thermal bridge at the junction between the glass and the sash frame, which provides better protection against condensation forming on the edge of the glass.

Energy efficiency and exceptional design
: Aluplast offers an optimal range of films in various colours for the new energeto® series, covering a spectrum of over 40 variants. These films utilise innovative cool-colours technology, which guarantees improved performance and longer surface durability. Cool-colours decors feature special patented pigments that reduce heat absorption on the surfaces of laminated window systems, which are more exposed to heat and weathering. This allows for an optimal combination of functionality and design, and enables designers and investors to realise individual requirements. The expansion of the decor range in the energeto system takes into account new trends and the requirements of all markets. Aluminium cladding, available for every system, further multiplies the number of possible colour options, allowing any colour from the RAL palette to be achieved.

energeto® windows – a competitive edge through innovation

The extremely low thermal transmittance is undoubtedly the most important and fundamental property of energeto® window systems, which are undoubtedly the most innovative window concept of recent years, based on three principles implemented simultaneously:

No need to use steel reinforcements in PVC profiles; these are replaced by thermoplastic inserts reinforced with glass
fibres. The use of double-glazed units and "bonding inside" technology (gluing the glass into the sash rebate) to achieve the required static and thermal performance of the window
structure The possibility of further improving the thermal transmittance of the profiles through optional filling, after the structure has been welded, the spaces within certain internal chambers with polyurethane foam using "foam inside" technology.

An innovative 6-chamber system with an installation depth of 85 mm, featuring an internal seal and compatible with glazing units up to 51 mm thick, reinforced with PBT Ultradur High Speed.

An innovative 5-chamber system with a 70 mm installation depth, featuring an internal seal and compatible with glazing units up to 41 mm thick, with PBT Ultradur High Speed reinforcements

An innovative 5-chamber system with a frame depth of 70 mm, featuring external gaskets and compatible with glazing units up to 41 mm thick, reinforced with PBT Ultradur High Speed.

The ‘foam inside’ technology represents another breakthrough, enabling a significant improvement in the thermal performance of windows. This is achieved by filling the internal chambers of the profiles with additional insulating material after the frames or sashes have been fully welded.

energeto® systems are among the few window systems that allow for the creation of passive window structures using just a double-glazed unit with a U-value of 0.7 W/(m²K). This is made possible by the use of another technical innovation introduced by aluplast in window production, namely the ‘foam inside’ technology, which involves the optional filling of the internal chambers of the profiles with additional insulating material after the final welding of the frames or sashes. The polyurethane foam is applied using a special machine that injects the foam into the appropriately designed chambers. As the foam expands, it completely fills the space within the window frames right up to the corners. By introducing special polyurethane foam into the profile chambers, it is possible to achieve exceptional thermal transmittance values.
