ALUMINIUM EXTERNAL BLIND SYSTEM

Product descriptionTechnical dataDocumentation

The BSP BS louvre system comprises both substructure components and aluminium slats. It is primarily used on building roofs to cover technical equipment. The system consists of the following components:

  • aluminium or passive brackets
  • KCT and KCL vertical aluminium profiles
  • BSD1 spacer elements
  • BSZ1 catches
  • BSL1 slats

The type and dimensions of the brackets are selected on the basis of the design documentation, depending on the projection of the blinds and the structural and thermal requirements. A description of the various types of brackets can be found in the section on ventilated façade systems.

The BS blind system uses KCT and KCL vertical profiles (the same as those used in the KCS system). KCT aluminium profiles are T-shaped profiles used to join the slats. KCL aluminium profiles, on the other hand, are angle profiles used as support profiles in the central part of the slats. The profiles feature special rail guides for attaching the hooks. Furthermore, the guides provide additional protection against the hooks being pulled out of the profiles.

BSZ1 clips and BSD1 spacers are alternately slid into the vertical profile guides. By using spacers of a fixed height, a uniform spacing between the clips is achieved, without the need to measure their position each time. When sliding the components into the profile guides, there is no need to mechanically secure each component – it is sufficient to fix the first component from below and above using a screw or rivet, which improves the ease and speed of installation.

BSL1 aluminium slats snap into place on BSZ1 brackets. By design, the blinds are fitted with the slats facing upwards, ensuring free airflow whilst preventing any view from below. In this way, the blind acts as a screen.
